The Alert/Confirmation/Escalation Service can be customized to notify multiple tiers of responders by text/SMS messages, e-mail, alpha or numeric-only paging, voice/verbal notification, or fax. Recpients must then confirm receipt by text/SMS, e-mail, or calling a telephone number and using an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system to affirmitively confirm receipt of a given alert.
Should a given alert not receive confirmation from one (or more) of the initial tier of recipients within a given number of minutes, the alert is then escalated to a second tier of recipients, who are in turn given a fixed period of time to respond as well, and the process continues until a reponse is received or all recipients/tiers have been exhausted.

The Alert/Confirmation and Escalation Service (ACES) provides a regime of alert notifications and confirmation windows to ensure that time-sensitive messages are transmitted to their intended recipients by requiring confirmation of recieved messages within a given time-frame. Should the given time-frame be exceeded with no confirmation of receipt having been received, a second group of recipients is then notified, and this process continues until a message is acknowledged.
Alert/Confirmation & Escalation customers may create tiered lists of notification recipients, all of whom will simultaneously receive an alert via text/SMS, alpha or numeric-only pager, e-mail, voice/verbal notification, or fax. The recipient(s) in the first tier are provided with instructions as to how to confirm receipt, either via a reply text/SMS message, e-mail, or phone call. Upon receiving a completed receipt message, ACES will end the extant alert and optionally provide a detailed transmission/receipt report for quality control and archival purposes.
If a confirmation from the first tier of recipients isn't received in a user-specified number of minutes, the given alert is escalated, and second tier of recipients is notified, who are also instructed to confirm receipt within a configurable time frame. If a confirmation response is received, the escalation process stops, but if no confirmation is received, the process continues until all recipients/tiers have been notified. At this point, a failure alert is returned to the sender/iniator of the alert for further action.
Notifications to recipients, and reports of failed confirmation conditions may be sent to nearly any device or destination, including cell phones, pagers, landline/POTS phones via voice/verbal notification, e-mail, and fax. Recipients and destination devices/methods may be scheduled by time, day of week, and/or message content.
